Children kidnapped in car while dad delivered for DoorDash

Two children were abducted by a carjacker when their father jumped out of their minivan to deliver a DoorDash order in San Francisco, authorities said.

Jeffrey Fang brought his 4-year-old daughter and 1-year-old son with him while he dropped off orders for the food delivery service Saturday night, police said.

When returned from making a delivery around 8:45 p.m, he discovered a stranger driving off in his Honda Odyssey, police said.

“I yelled at him and told him to get out and two of my kids are in the car,” Fang told news station ABC7.

Fang contacted authorities who issued an Amber Alert and launched a search for the children.

More than four hours later, police said that they tracked down the children and the minivan in the city’s Bayview district.

“The children will be medically evaluated and reunited with their parents,” the police statement said.

No suspects have been nabbed in connection to the carjacking, police said.

“The people involved in this, turn yourself in. This crime is very serious, to kidnap a vehicle and take two small babies away from their parents,” Police Chief William Scott said, ABC7 reported.
