HBO Max Previews ‘Gossip Girl,’ ‘The Nevers’ and More in New Promo

HBO Max is getting ready to ring in the new year. The streaming service shared what we can look forward to watching in the coming weeks and months with a new promo, starting with Wonder Woman 1984, followed by highly anticipated originals like The Nevers and the Gossip Girl reboot.

Fans got a first glimpse at the new generation of Upper East Siders with the first glimpse at new Gossip Girl footage featuring the Manhattan crew on the steps of The Met. While HBO Max hasn’t revealed an official premiere date for the series yet, it’s likely to land on the platform sometime in 2021, and we do know the main cast. Earlier this year, Whitney Peak, Eli Brown, Emily Alyn Lind, Johnathan Fernandez and Jason Gotay were confirmed to star in the new Gossip Girl, along with Adam Chanler-Berat, Tavi Gevinson, Zión Moreno, and Thomas Doherty.

HBO Max also dropped some new footage for sci-fi series The Nevers, starring Laura Donnelly, Olivia Williams and Nick Frost. In the first clips of the series, we hear Donnelly say, “I see things that aren’t there. Glimpses of the future,” and see her sporting some trippy sunglasses. With an explosion, The Nevers clip ends and we’re left hungry for more of the upcoming series, which is also set for a 2021 premiere.

Along with previews of Gossip Girl and The Nevers, HBO Max also snuck in some Justice League footage, teasing the epic superhero movie that sent fans into a frenzy when it was announced earlier this year. The promo promises plenty more in store for the next year, including another Euphoria special episode, the Kate Winslet series Mare of Easttown, new seasons of Insecure and Succession, both Tiger Woods and Nicki Minaj documentaries, the Steven Soderbergh film No Sudden Move, and that long awaited Friends reunion special. HBO Max also teased a new Game of Thrones series coming in 2022, House of the Dragon. Looks like we’ll have more than enough content to keep us entertained, even into the next two years.
