MSNBC’s Joe Scarborough Says Joe Biden Could Put Hillary Clinton On The Supreme Court

MSNBC’s Joe Scarborough proposed nominating 73-year-old former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton to the Supreme Court next year should Democrats take the White House in next week’s election.

“What a great birthday gift it will be next year for @HillaryClinton when she is one of the three new Supreme Court justices appointed through the Judiciary Reform Act of 2021,” Scarborough tweeted Monday following Justice Amy Coney Barrett’s historic confirmation.

“Thanks for the idea, guys. Only your colleagues’ thuggish behavior made it possible,” Scarborough wrote in response to Republicans on the House Judiciary Committee.

Scarborough’s idea came as Republicans taunted the failed 2016 Democratic presidential candidate after confirming Justice Barrett on Clinton’s birthday.

Clinton did herself no favors to mitigate the scrutiny, complaining about her loss four years ago on a New York Times podcast published Monday.

“I was the candidate that they basically stole an election from,” Clinton said. “I was the candidate who won nearly three million more votes. So no matter how they cut it, it wasn’t the kind of win that people said, ‘OK, it wasn’t my candidate, but OK.’ This election is still front and center in people’s psyches. And people fight about it every day online, because there is a deep sense of unfairness and just dismissiveness toward his victory, and he knows it.”

In August, Clinton said she was open to serving in a potential Biden-Harris administration.

On the question of court packing, meaning Democrats have pledged to expand number of justices on the Supreme Court to circumvent obstacles to their permanent governance, the Democratic ticket has refused to offer the American public a straight answer but has signaled willingness to overhaul the judiciary in order to weaponize the bench as a super-legislature.
