Washington, DC — President Trump who is now banned by several social media sites such as Twitter and Facebook was prevented from joining Parler and Gab by Jared Kushner in the wake of his bans.
While many aides were trying to get the President on social media sites such as Parler and Gab, Kushner, Trump’s son-in-law, and Deputy Chief of Staff Dan Scavino went against the flow, CNN reported.
Trump’s son-in-law and senior adviser Jared Kushner intervened when other officials tried restoring the President’s social media presence on sites that are often havens for extremists, following an unprecedented ban from several major platforms. https://t.co/WYb5hFzwWS
Many officials in the Trump administration tried and failed to use different Twitter accounts to tweet under President Trump’s name.
Since his blockage from social media, the President has resorted to using more traditional methods of communication. On Wednesday, amid yet another impeachment vote in the House of Representatives, President Trump issued a statement from his Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany calling for an end to violence amid reports of more demonstrations being scheduled.
“I urge that there must be NO violence, NO lawbreaking and NO vandalism of any kind. That is not what I stand for, and it is not what America stands for,” the statement from the President read.
@POTUS: In light of reports of more demonstrations, I urge that there must be NO violence, NO lawbreaking and NO vandalism of any kind. That is not what I stand for, and it is not what America stands for. I call on ALL Americans to help ease tensions and calm tempers.
“That is not what I stand for, and it is not what America stands for. I call on ALL Americans to help ease tensions and calm tempers. Thank You,” Trump wrote in the 270 character statement, which would have fit neatly into a tweet.
Lawmakers and senior aides had been pleading with Trump to issue a statement saying as much while bracing for more members of his own party to vote against him.
The White House said in a statement this week it opposes impeachment, and Trump railed against the proceedings on Tuesday.

Republicans seem to have a struggle learning lessons. For four years, President Trump has taught them how the party can change its identity and move forward. Rather than learning, they put up a resistance. Some have suggested the only way forward is through a new party or through a new leader.
